OnGuard 2 Luer Lock Adaptor (LLA), a component of the OnGuard 2 closed system transfer device used when compounding and administering hazardous drugs under USP 800. The adaptor connects to a standard female Luer lock and converts it into a closed OnGuard 2 port. OnGuard 2 connections lock with a linear click rather than a push and twist, have flat smooth valve surfaces for disinfection, work with off the shelf syringes and use a 16 gauge fluid pathway. OnGuard devices are manufactured by Simplivia and distributed by B. Braun Medical Inc., supplied 400 per case with a 36 month shelf life.
